Montana Far East Transfer Center

The Transfer Center Project is a new bus transfer facility constructed for the City of El Paso Sun Metro, with a total area of approximately 5,600 square feet. The facility includes a waiting area, restrooms, driver lounge, and community room. Extensive site improvements were also made, including the construction of bus shelters and seating, landscaping, fencing, and other hardscape elements. The building and bus shelters were constructed using various materials, including CMU, steel, glass, and concrete tilt-up panels.
The project used a total of 4,084 square feet of concrete panels. Additionally, VEMAC partnered with the City of El Paso to convert the parking areas from asphalt paving to concrete paving, covering a total area of 89,336 square feet. The project included the installation of 12 architectural tilt-up panels, some weighing up to 75,000 lbs.
The Transfer Center Project has received 2 Green Globe Certifications, highlighting its environmentally conscious design and construction.
