For this project VEMAC served as the Concrete Subcontractor placing over 100,000 square feet of slab on grade. Each single placement varied in size from 15,000 to 30,000 square feet. Floor and Decor is a flooring superstore that required a high a quality exposed concrete slab capable of being polished to a uniform sheen to properly display their flooring products. Each placement was tested by an independent laboratory to insure the floor flatness and levelness exceeded a very strict tolerance set for by their consulting agency Structural Service Incorporated (SSI). Every placement was monitored to insure placement methods utilized were in compliance with procedures set forth by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and performed by ACI certified personnel. 

• Fine grading of sub-grade to insure proper thickness of concrete slab and eliminate waste
  
• Precision form setting using high quality materials and methods assuring proper construction joint connection and aesthetics
  
• Pour Planning to provide for larger placements eliminating construction joints and advancing construction schedule
  
• Laser screed concrete placements utilizing the most advanced equipment and technology available today
  
• Finishing of slab performed by highly trained ACI certified finishers utilizing quality equipment
  
• Saw cutting of slab control joints to eliminate cracking and provide an aesthetically pleasing surface. As a result of the successful completion of this scope of work, the project was finished on schedule with no failed testing or discrepancies.
