This project, located inside the CAB complex at Ft. Bliss, consisted of 2 government task orders:
· Task Order #1 ASB and GSAB, and
· Task Order #2 ATK and ASLT
In support of the five Aviation Battalions that have relocated to Fort Bliss, task orders were awarded to construct a total of five aircraft hangars. These facilities support both operations and maintenance activities for over 100 Chinook, Blackhawk, and Apache helicopters included within the battalions.
The Combat Aviation Brigade Project awarded to VEMAC, Inc. involves the Assault Battalion Hangar. The Assault Battalion Hangar is a high bay hangar with six maintenance bays to house six UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters, with an adjacent two-story, 55,642 SF administrative/shop area.

- Structural excavation of footings.
- Structural backfill.
- Concrete Footings and foundations.
- Slab on grade at administrative areas.
- Airfield pavement with dry shake hardener in hangar areas.
- Placement of concrete paving aprons.
- Concrete slabs on deck.
- Concrete for arms vaults.
- Concrete saw cutting & joint sealants.
- Bollard installation.
