Air Support Operations Squadron Complex:
This project consisted of the design and construction of a new Air Support Operations Squadron Complex consisting of a 32,000 SF administrative, command/operations and training building and two 7,000 SF HMMWV Storage Facilities for storing 32 vehicles and associated equipment. A single-story steel framed structure with exterior concrete masonry unit veneer with a standing seam metal roof complete with all necessary building systems, mass notification, security, data and voice communications systems to provide a complete command, administrative and training facility for the Squadron was created for this project. The site includes all supporting infrastructure and parking for 98 POV’s across the loop drive. The building incorporates “green” strategies using sustainable techniques and materials to qualify as LEED “Silver” for a total of 33 LEED points based LEED’s Rating System V2.2. Unmanned Aviation Vehicles Maintenance Facility: Construction of an addition to an existing UAV Maintenance Facility. The purpose for the maintenance and repair of Unmanned Aviation Vehicles (UAV) aircraft, complete with parts and tool storage, administrative operations, aviation (flying) operations, and all support equipment and facilities. The maximum gross area is 3,600 SF. A single story pre-engineered steel framed structure with exterior metal panels and sloping roof complete with all necessary building systems, security, data and voice communications systems and to provide a complete administrative and maintenance facility for the unit was constructed. Site work included extensive security fence, traffic control features, jersey barriers, POL Storage unit, extensive site work and site utilities. |
