Under Oscar’s leadership and direction, VEMAC, Inc. has developed into a successful, profitable and highly respected construction management company in the El Paso area. His leadership skills have brought together a dedicated team of professionals that work hard every day to ensure successful project outcomes and client satisfaction. Oscar has been the recipient of numerous civic and business awards. VEMAC, Inc. has also received numerous civic, business and safety awards. VEMAC, Inc. was awarded the State of Texas 2016 Small Business Award by Governor Greg Abbott.

Oscar Venegas, born and raised in El Paso. He earned his degree in Science of Civil Engineering from UTEP (University of Texas at El Paso). He founded VeMac Inc. (Venegas Engineering Management and Constriction) in 1973.
He's VEMAC's CEO, currently one the largest engineering company in the city of El Paso. His company has compited against larger companies and won bids to handle numerous projects.  
VEMAC’s success is attributed to using only the best technology in construction, the highest quality products and highest skilled employees. They are known for being extremely involved in the pre-design phase  of their projects, completion times and precised budget.
​They provide constant feedback during the pre-construction of the project allowing the clients access of any challenges along the way. VEMAC's team of trained professionals work on projects ranging from $60,000 upwards to $25 million.  ​

​In 2003, Mr. Venegas invited his daughter Mary and his son David and to help run the company.
He started with 2 employees and now VEMAC has 250 employees experienced professionals in engineering, estimating, quality control, 
preconstruction service and accounting. Their success can be found throughout the city in the construction of medical office buildings, restaurant chains like Taco Tote, government buildings like the U.S. Army Reserve Center, Lordsburg Border Patrol Station, and various school districts consisting of Horizon Middle School, Canutillo Middle School and the Pre-K thru 5 at Loma Verde School. 

Mr. Venegas believes in giving back to El Paso and he generously donate back to the school that provided him a start. VEMAC completely remodeled the football locker room within the Sun Bowl at UTEP, free of charge. Venegas believes in giving back to the community that has given El Pasoans a chance. 
Oscar is happily married to Martha, who was also a UTEP graduate and is now a retired Certified Public Accountant. They have two wonderfully hardworking children, David and Mary and 4 beautiful grandbabies.​
